I spent last Friday and Saturday at the West Baden Springs Hotel, with trips over to the French Lick Springs Hotel. Here are some of my favorite pictures. The dome in the West Baden Springs Hotel was the largest free-standing dome in the world until the Astrodome was built. The atrium is 200 feet wide and 110 feet tall. The view from the top floor into the atrium A view from the atrium The Veranda at the West Baden resort. Not too many people on a chilly Saturday morning, but coffee makes it better. Dixieland jazz on Friday evening. Pluto Water's claim to fame. Lying on the floor in the center of the atrium looking up.

"America's Greatest Laxative." How can you not like that!
Lovely shot looking up at the dome.

My family has stayed at the French Lick Hotel. When mom died, we decided that, rather than continue to exchange (relatively meaningless) gifts, we'd put holiday money into going off somewhere together over the holidays. The first place we booked was French Lick. It's an awesome thing to see. A step back in time.

Interesting place, John, and fine shots. I also like the one looking up.
