Good afternoon and Merry Christmas.....
Hoping yours is/has been/ will be as wonderful as mine. Our family tradition since we started adopting kids is to read Luke's account of the birth of Jesus from Luke 2, before we start with the presents. This year, my 9 yr.old 2nd grader Carrie Dawn was able to take her first turn reading.

Good morning and Merry Christmas!
The twins are 9 now, and Christmas morning with them is so much fun. It takes them forever to get through a few presents because they like each one so much that they spend a long time admiring and playing with each one. It is beautiful, sunny, and cold here. I might get in both a bike ride and a ski today!

My attempt at doing a Peking Duck is almost ready (It's been slow roasting since early this morning), so it's time to shower and take this duck over to some friends house and see if I got the seasoning just right this time around (the last one I did was OK, just not seasoned enough to suit me).
Enjoy your day.

Morning all. I was up Sek, indeed, I was the first one up. My youngest is now 12, and slept in until after 8.
We bought them a wii, finally broke down and got them a video game console. They also got a number of games, and are happily roaring through them. I got a zi8 - what a totally brilliant little device, even to the point where the video editing software is installed on the camera, and installs onto a PC if it is connected for the first time.
Need to get an adapter to put my mic into it, and will make some guitar videos. Oh, and the girls, too - ;D
We'll have 6 for dinner, us, all three daughters, and Susan's brother, who is mentally handicapped. Twill be a grand dinner indeed. Last night we had friends over, and had seafood. Yum.
Merry Christmas, everyone.

We're getting some serious snowage here that started about a half hour ago. We're supposed to have family over for dinner, but we just tried calling & texting, telling them not to come. The drive here wouldn't be that bad, but if this keeps up, they'd have a dangerous drive back home.
We'll see who shows and who doesn't.
Jadene's been cooking since yesterday & I haven't been allowed to touch any of it. So if we're stuck all alone in the snow storm, at least we're stranded with the food.

Merry Christmas, all. I'm sitting at the table while a wonderful meal is wafting aromas through the home, and my daughters are preparing stuff for a get-together with another family tomorrow. All, enjoy your holiday.

Everybody finally left after a long and, for me, wearing and chaotic day. I simply wore myself out trying to do too much. After I reached my limit I got irretrievably grumpy. I got short with Nancy and insulted her in front of others. I tried to patch things up, but it's tough putting toothpaste back into the tube...
I feel like such a dope. God, I wish I were a better person.

Evan, don't beat yourself up to bad. Some abject grovelling may be in order. Sometimes the holidays will do that to you.

Evan. We all get grumpy. You're a pretty good person. In fact you're a terrific person. I will brook no argument. I expect everyone here agrees too, so give yourself a break, get some sleep. Sweet dreams.
