My wife is selling one of her guitars. This is the post with details that she posted on some other forums. She'd like $450 which includes shipping anywhere in the Continental US:
This is a beautiful 1976 Takamine 12 string acoustic electric guitar with hardshell case.
This is what they called a "Martin Lawsuit" guitar. Notice the headstock - they even copied the Martin font. Ya'll know there was either a lawsuit or an almost lawsuit because their copies were so exact. The lawsuit copies are fairly sought after because of this. This one also has a bound neck and is super easy to play. It rings out great - and is the perfect Hotel California guitar, (my favorite song).
It is a solid spruce top, with beautiful rosewood back and sides. The serial number is inside the guitar and I've taken a picture of it. It's model is #F400S which you can find in the archive section of the Takamine website. The condition is excellent. You will see from the pictures that the back is so high gloss I had trouble getting a good picture because it reflects everything. It is wonderful and there are no flaws in the finish anywhere. These run on ebay anywhere from $300 to $600 depending on condition, and usually always without a pickup.
My husband and I are a performing duo, Chatham Street, www.chathamstreetmusic.com, and we have alot of equipment and we have always bought excellent equipment and have some beautiful vintage pieces. But we have decided to sell off a few things. Please pass to anyone that you think may be interested and have them contact me at christal@chathamstreetmusic.com
