I just looked up Zogg's. It was "Stick Beats On Hollow Branch" which had just edged out "Taut Horse Gut Twang" that had topped the Paleoboard Top 40 the week before. There was a woman at the open mic last night who played "Stick Beats On Hollow Branch" or something real similar on a new drum she just got. Reminded me of the '60s. "I'm looking over a 4 leaf clover" on my birthday. It must have been a tough year.

Oh! My Pa-Pa (O Mein Papa), Eddie Fisher
What?
WTF is that?
If I'd known this was at the top of the charts, I would've stayed in the womb.

Some "Pony something" song by Chubby Checker for me.
However I didn't really become aware of any of the number 1's until I was about 9 years old. Then I lost the thread again at 28.

I don't have to look. It was "Harbor Lights." As I emerged from the womb I was thinking: it needs more cowbell.

This is a little freaky y'all, 'cause mine is 'Goodnight Irene' also.
When I graduated high school, it was to "Mrs. Robinson."
I got married to "Heard it Through the Grapevine."

This is a little freaky y'all, 'cause mine is 'Goodnight Irene' also. They didn't used to change it so often. The ol' saying in the music industry back then was, "well, it was good enough for grandad, by cracky, and it ought to be good enough for junior too!"

Dec 8, 1947 Ballerina by Vaughan Monroe - don't remember it. Starting in 2000, not any music I listen to, or that I am familiar with. <2 dangling prepositions for you editurs>
