Good morning all. I'm on the road for work today. Practise with my duet partner tonight. We're going to work on some open tunings, progressions and theory. Have a great day everyone.

Good mornin'! Fall weather has returned here on the Great Plains. A cool front came through during the night, dropping temps by 20 degrees. Gonna do some jamming tonight with a co-worker who plays guitar and mandolin.
Have a great day!

My nails are in deplorable shape, partly for biting them over a possible guitar purchase...double top, brazilian b&s, Rodgers tuners, Calton case for $3500.
Somebody talk me down!

Ok, I'm here. Got booked for the Farmers Market Gig first Tue of Nov yesterday afternoon. Should be an eazy gig. Open mic for an hour. Us for 45, open mic for 45 and us for another 45. Might even be cool like in the 80s by the first week of Nov. Still cussing people who write songs for jazz piano that I end up playing on guitar, with my humble skills. Love the sound but moving in and out of things like A7+5 and Gdim are a pain for this cowboy chord picker. But I need the push. And those type songs are it right now.

Morning, all. The front came here too, Tholmes. Thirty degrees cooler than it was yesterday. But it was so hot yesterday that today will be fine.
Anyone from Idiotjam I remember the Japanese beetles? The beans are being harvested, which means they are back.

Good morning, Soundholers! Off to my friend, Wesley's Taxidermy supply shop to count glass eyeballs and warthog tusks. We are the closest of friends, especially since his wife left him. We make each other laugh. Hope all of you have blessed days. I will check in from Touchstone's Service and Supply, later. Blessed, Dan
Doug, try to hear Keith Green's "Prodigal Son Suite" (MP3 on the net or something) sometimes. I play this elaborate tune solo and haven't changed much since I ad libbed it for the first time and I am about to record it.

Oh yeah, Todd, the cold front is definitely a good thing. Temps here have been in the high 90's for the past three days. Way too warm for October, or any other month for that matter.

yup, mornin' again. Yesterday's storms have left more leaves on the ground than on the trees, guess that's why it's called fall.
Have a good day pickers and strummers.

Good Day!
Paul Simon's latest album, "Surprise," has this gem on it, which I heard for the first time this morning on the radio:
If you leap awake In the mirror of a bad dream And for a fraction of a second You can't remember where you are Just open your window And follow your memory upstream To the meadow in the mountain Where we counted every falling star
I believe the light that shines on you Will shine on you forever And though I can't guarantee There's nothing scary hiding under your bed I’m gonna stand guard Like a postcard of a Golden Retriever And never leave till I leave you With a sweet dream in your head
I'm gonna watch you shine Gonna watch you grow Gonna paint a sign So you'll always know As long as one and one is two There could never be a father Who loved his daughter more than I love you
Trust your intuition It's just like going fishing You cast your line And hope you'll get a bite But you don't need to waste your time Worrying about the market place Try to help the human race Struggling to survive its harshest night
I'm gonna watch you shine Gonna watch you grow Gonna paint a sign So you'll always know As long as one and one is two There could never be a father Who loved his daughter more than I love you
I'm gonna watch you shine Gonna watch you grow Gonna paint a sign So you'll always know As long as one and one is two There could never be a father Who loved his daughter more than I love you

Evan, tell me more about the guitar. I feel your pain (nail-wise) as a steel string gig "filed" my ring nail down to a stub. Grumble.
Good morn one and all J

Morning, y'all. I am friggin' WORN OUT. I swear, I don't know why I have a hard time telling people no. I sit on about 4 board of directors here in town, two of which I am President of the organization. I have way too many irons in the fire, and by the time I get home, and work outside till dark, come in, shower, eat supper, and relax a minute, it's 10:00 or better.
The bad news is, the busy part of my year starts this weekend, and it ain't gonna get any better until after the first of the year.
Anyhoo, enough bellyaching. GOOD MORNING!

Cribbs, I feel ya. This week has been hellish for me, and I'm beginning to lose some serious steam. Take friday, for example, when other than my usual guitar and private analysis lessons (for which I have to prepare) I have to perform in two singers' senior recitals, then Midsummer from 7:30 to 9:30. My schedule on iCal pretty much looks like one giant Lego assembly of multi-colored blocks - hopefully I'll have time to eat! Saturday should be fun too with Preview Day (open campus day), an event of which I am unltimately the student in the highest position of authority - call is at 6:3am and goes until 2:00. Then I'll probably faint and wake up in time for Midsummer at 7:30. Add my 3-4 hr practice schedule and homework to the mix, and you have one busy Giacomo. So, moral of the story is - gripe all you want, because I'm definitely needing to vent too! Waiting for Sunday, J

Morning - rain a comin'.
We've been having a bear come in and do some damage trying to get at a few chickens we keep. Fish and game has had a live trap out for him but he keeps coming in and damaging stuff. Last night he finally broke thru and got most of them. Set up a game camera last night to determine whether it was a black bear or a griz coming in and think I got some photos of him - pics to follow. Anybody need any seatcovers?

J, it's a Randy Reynolds. As it turns out, Perf has first dibs. 3500 is a smashing price for all that.

We had a raccoon on our deck a couple times this summer. I guess that doesn't quite rank up there with mm's bear.
Post the pics, Steve.

Good Morning
Due to the accident last night we are both still at home today. We have to get a rental car and go remove our property from our car, grandkids toys in the back seat and stuff from the trunk. Cheri is going to the Doc and I'm going to work for a while.

Hi, everyone. I cleaned my stuff out of the office yesterday, but I'm here for a while to do paperwork and such. I get to take son #2 to a golf lesson this afternoon.
