Today is Kelly's birthday. We went out to dinner last night as her favorite Italian resturant that, for budget reasons, we haven't been to in about 10 years. The owner recognized us. That's just the kind of guy he is. Escargot, caesar salad. I had shrimp and pasta. She had veal with a crab meat sauce. We finished with some desert of strawberry creme brulee for her and a chocolate mousse for me. A wonderful time was had by all. We met 34 years ago and in May we will hit 30 years married. Good day all around.

We are getting ice right now. Still getting it now. No one's going nowhere, and I haven't seen a vehicle on the highway all day.

Generally shitty weather in MN today. We left Northfield around noon to go to a cat show in St.Paul, ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) , but not really for the cats. My wife's Dad's ex-GF from 30 years ago and my wife have remained friends and although we don't see her except every 2 years or so, we wanted to go to the cat show at which she shows cats and she'd meet our son for the first time. Anyway, it was freezing rain when we left, took and hour and a half to go the 45 miles. We left at about 3ish and at that point it was snowing hard in St.Paul, as we headed south toward Apple Valley it was sleet alternating with ice pellets, then drizzle, then more snow closer to Northfield. The drive home in the snow was better than the drive up in freezing rain, until we got within 10 miles of Nfld and the roads turned to absolute crap. Normally I'm not that stressed by bad road, because normally I'm commuting on my own, but with the wife and son in the car I was white-knuckling it all the way. NOT fun. But, we made it home fine, then had a wonderful roast beef (with potatoes and carrots) meal at my folks for my brother's birthday. Luke (our son) was the life of the party, as usual. Got him off to bed about 9pm and now we're watching Arrested Development on Netflix/Roku. Was a big, but fun, day. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)
