I am happy to believe that Paul is blissfully sleeping off his jetlag.
Welcome back Paul! Group hug from all of us.

(Okay, I'm whispering. Good morning. We'll have a pretty standard January day, clear skies, 40-61. The living room drapes that collapsed last month after a mere twenty-five years will be replaced this afternoon. Living hasn't killed me so, if Nietzsche's theory is correct, it must have made me stronger. Enjoy your day.)

Good morning all.
I got the call from my Mom last night. She is ready for me to come down to Miami to stay with her. She finally has to admit she can no longer manage on her own.
I can't break away from here until Feb 12. I have a unemployment appeal phone conference on Feb 7, Elena not off work until the 12th. She and Tracie going to ride down so Elena will have company on the ride back.
Mom will be 93 May 12.

Good Morning Good People
Foggy and cool, temperature expected to plummet tonight. Office work today.
All the best to your Mom Johnne -- at 93 she has the fortitude she passed along to her daughter.
Have a good Wednesday one and all.

Good morning. Paul is probably finding it easier to sleep in Kansas.
We seem to have the same weather forecast as Grand Rabbits. Still, I did get 18 holes of mud golf in yesterday and on January 29th that ain't bad. I don't see any golf in the 7 day forecast though.
Johnne, I hope the move to Miami works out well for both you and your mother.

Good morning. We lost a few feet of snow but the big freeze is on its way for us too. Raining presently. I'm a painting fool: the door in my office, the cupboards in the kitchen and 5 coats on grandma's old jam cupboard. Almost done.

We have one bedroom that my wife has painted so many times that I swear the room is getting smaller.

Nasty weather headed our way - high winds, strong thunderstorms, significant risk of tornadoes. Otherwise, all is well here.

Howdy howdy. It is cold here in Platte City. I'm having a ball being home. I broke out the Les Paul yesterday. I will have to crack the Strat out of it's case today.

Cough medicine. Strange stuff. Got some prescription meds yesterday. The high-octane cough med works great for about 15 minutes. To be taken once every 4-6 hours.
Gave up on that. But I think coughing is your body's way of saying, "Get this shit outta your lungs!"
The antibiotics are working nicely. The coughing has dissipated to occasional loose events dredging up warm slabs of slimy gunk.
I don't know what mankind did before antibiotics. . . . , probably slid progressively down hill and died.
Have a nice phlegm free day.

Forecast high of 52 today, rising gradually to 71 by Saturday. There has been a nasty cold wind. Mr. H and I skipped our walk on Monday and only walked a mile yesterday. Hoping that today we get back into the routine of 2+ miles a day.
Johnne, I definitely know what you're going through. Today my Mom gets moved from her room in the rehab center to her new room in the nursing home in the same building. She had 6 happy years in a senior apartment after having to move out of my brother's house. She should have gone into a nursing home a year ago. Now she has no choice.

Morning. Only half as much temperature as yesterday, but still twice as much as we've got any right to expect this time of year.
