Good morning! Michigan is a beautiful state this time of year. When the sun visits, that is. And visit it is doing right now. Blue sky, trees in an array of colors, crisp air... It is nice. Last week I went pawn shopping and came out with a mandolin. Since, have been learning chords - good news: only four courses of strings to mess with; bad news: tiny little neck/fat fingers.

J -
Not to threadjack, but I'm always planning another trip. Was there for the summer. Will go back for Xmas. I just never seem to get to Genoa.

Warm here, but not out of the ordinary for this time of year. It will cool off a tad overnight, with predictions of sunny and high of 82 or so tomorrow. Since I have the day off, I hope to go lose some golf balls.
I made hospital rounds for the last time this morning. I'll turn in my key after lunch today.

G'Day all. Cold here in the GWN this morning. They're trying to stick me with 5 hours of overtime tonight and I'm not willing to jump on that grenade. Could be trouble if we can't find a willing replacement. Crikey, don't they realize I have the best guitar in the world back at my house and I don't need the dough? I'm a born again D.I.N.K. and I've got better things to do! What do they want from me? ?

Back from my 8am Critical Listening class mid-term exam. I think I did OK...it's a challenging class, but a good one. We've been listening to pink noise and music clips with various frequencies added or removed. All you need is ears, as Sir George wrote. I haven't taken a "classroom test" in many a moon. My exam was graded by a classmate easily young enough to be my daughter. And the beat goes on...

Good morning folks! Marty hope everything will go well for Cheri. Home this morning listening to some 2112 Rush at the moment. Decided to stay home to write some advertising script for radio. I'm going to make up 20 second spots for my employees to be involved in our bank ads. Plus a business expo coming up so I have some donuts jingles to fill with some good bs. Good day all!

Well now I`m going to have to dig 2112 out and listen to it again. Long ago in a long lost band we used to play 2112 in it`s entirety. I can`t say we were good but man it was fun. Sheesh I used to love Rush. Must pull out my albums now that you triggered that memory RJ.

G`day to you too.
There is some fun stuff on YouTube.com if you do a Rush search. Last I looked there was some great live stuff and a Neil Peart drum instruction video that really brought home what an untouchable genius he is. And as you know he does the lyrics too..It`s criminal I tell ya to have so much talent.

okay now I'm rockin' ....Nazareth "Close enough for Rock & Roll". Telegram the best song to break in a set of Altec Lansing Model 9 vintage speakers, just had them rebuilt and they sound awesome. Vicki is a nice instrumental too.
