Howard has to go through customs at the airport. Most of us will simply drive past the booth at Port Arthur, answer a few questions about plants and food products, and claim we're visiting friends in Owen Sound. The only way they'd ever look through your things is if you look suspicious like say you smile a lot and one of your passengers is wearing short pants. Suspicious? . . . , Hammond will be in the car, you know. Hammond will be the one one short pants. The driver will be smiling a lot.

Well, we have discussed the availability of guitars at Swan Jam and I think you should leave your honey at home for safety's sake. Don, you don't have to bring a guitar either. I think there will be plenty of beauties to go around. This is so exciting. Now I just have to wait for another four months!

I made our flight reservations today so we'll be there, if the good lord's willing and the creek don't rise.

You can probably see our smiles from there.

Will be booking my tickets later today. Airfares are pretty low right now.

Alrighty. I am booked, rubber-stamped, reserved and ready. See you all in about four months, and looking forward to it.

Great Howard! It's going to be a lot of fun. The weather should be great - it's the nicest time of the year on the Bruce.

Howard, here is a preview then. From our last Swan Jam, on the porch of Swan Jam Residence, next door to our house.
Lars, Joy and Dub rock it out.

Howard, if you like. In the alternative, bring your own style, your own tunes, your own coolness and ... your happy smile.

Sek, I'd love to come up for this and will see what I can do to make it happen. One of the reasons (or more accurately five of them) I haven't been around much is that Patti and adopted a bunch of kids and they're keeping us a bit busy, and even though Owen Sound is not a bad drive, it's hard to commit with all the 'lil ones.

Scott, I thought of you, and your proximity. It would be wonderful if you could come, but, if not, I'm sure we will all understand.
Congratulations on your choice to adopt all those children! You guys deserve a medal (or five)!

I have one at home and it's more than I can handle sometimes. Kudos to you and Patti, Scott.
No one posted in this thread since April 10, so I figured I'd write that I am still excited about this gathering coming up in July. Adversity in the form of Air Canada and US Customs has made me decide to leave my guitar home and count on the kindness of strangers my friends. It will also make traveling less worrisome and hassle free.

We're still excited too. Maybe I'll toss in an extra guitar.

That sounds like a good plan Dub. Larry has two acoustics, the Lakewood and the Morgan, and then there is the little 1972 Yamaha classical. There are several more electrics, I forget the brands, and a bass. a violin, a mandolin, a piano. Djembe, conga. umm, penny whistles, tambourine. But one more guitar would be good. We are very excited about this too. And Idiot Jam. Things are looking good for attending IJ, but we can't be sure if we will have a dog sitter. We would like to invite some locals to the afternoon jam, but we aren't sure just which day we will be doing that. ... People are arriving on Thursday - and Joy and Dub, possibly Wednesday? We can't do the photography hike on Sunday because J & D will be leaving. I'm assuming Monday will be the day that most people will be on their way home. ... so that leaves Friday for walkabout, or Saturday. What do you all think?
