You guys are starting to make me think no donations are going to be sent to me.

Yeah, but I was thinking about you this morning as I rolled through a stop sign.

Donations! . . . , I thought you said donuts.
I packed some day-old donuts yesterday. I'm waiting for the UPS guy to come. I think he should be here by Friday.

Donuts are sort of a donation, too.

If I lived in the town with the Raspberry Pancake House, I would never eat a donut again.

I think that where you are screwed is the amount of the fine. Maybe you could fight the citation and win. But what would it cost to do so. When you figure in the cost of showing up in court plus the cost (emotional anyway) of the aggravation you might be best off just paying the fine. My guess is that what the are counting on.
I could be wrong as I am a practicing, and getter better at it all the time, cynic.

LJ, I'm hoisting a beer right now, and cogitating over your predicament. While it would be so easy to slip some money into the mail and send it to you, I have learned from our conservative friends, (mainly John) that the easy way is often not the best way and you can't fix problems by simply throwing money at them.
But not to worry, I'm certain that soon, something will change in this dance between freedom and authority. It may be best for you to protest this abuse of power by letting them arrest, and incarcerate you, thereby defining your status as someone who refuses to play the game by their rules. Fly on, free bird, fly.
Mike
