Keep your hopes for the best, the docs know what they are doing. Don probably won't be able to tell us anything for at least a week.

From what my daughter tells me, it's another heart that won't work. I so hope she is wrong.

Don's FB post a few hours ago:
"Thought I'd get everyone on the same page, as its been a crazy, long day and confusing.
Again, for the second time, the heart ended up unusable. All the organs from the donor deteriorated quicker than expected.....no one's fault, no one to blame, just what it is. I believe I'm the first with 2 in a row.
Sure it's disappointing, but I want the best heart possible. So I'm once again OK with it. Please keep comments positive as we make our way to the next opportunity. I'm worn out. See you here tomorrow.
Love you all."

Hey ya'all.....
No, it didn't happen. Yes, I'm OK (both mentally and otherwise - getting down is not going to happen). I remain in the hospital for a yet TBD time, possibly until after Labor Day. I will remain on 2 IV meds with the swan catheter still in my neck measuring pressures. Currently I am at the top of the list as a 1A status patient. It could still happen while I'm here. There is a definite correlation between transplants happening and the number of holiday fatalities over Labor Day weekend. Kind of a morbid thought, but true none the less. It's getting late, I'm pooped, and I'll post more tomorrow. Barb had gone home Thursday morning and when I got the word Thursday night, she drove right back. This time she brought her laptop, so I can communicate.
I'm still planning on the phone call at I-Jam. Todd.....I will call you tomorrow.
Thanks for hangin' in with me through all this.

Don, just explain to the doctor that it would be a lot more convenient for all concerned if they could just do it now, rather than making you have to get all unhooked and come back at some later time.
Rooting for you, bud.
