On an off for the past 8 years one of the locations where I've been teaching music is "Lake of the Pines Music". The owner, Mikel Paul, released a CD last Christmas and he's had a tune going up the smooth jazz charts. "The way a woman's body goes" reached #25 in the top 50 smooth jazz charts.
I love his work and I love seeing him get his music out to the world. May I introduce you to my friend: Mikel Paul.

Very tasteful stuff -- I particularly like his piano work.

Very tasty. I guess I'm used to thinking of Kenny G as smooth jazz, and Mikel's work has a lot more substance than that, at least IMHO.

If Kenny G is smooth jazz, then this isn't, cuz this is good!

Reminds me of Ben Sidran and Randy Newman. Great voice, stellar playing.

Vocally he reminds me a lot of Matt Fox.

I'm glad you folks enjoyed it. The rest of the CD is really good as well. His trio "The Glorious Mess" sounds great. They join him on most of the tracks.
