Good morning except for the eastward bound thunderstorms to my west that have cancelled my plans for golf. Oh, well, need to get an estimate for the roof so maybe I can get that done today. Got some painting done yesterday but it will need another coat at least. Not a good day for painting today. Maybe I'll just take a nap.

Good morning from The Smokies. This is what it looks like right before the morning thunderstorm started about 15 minutes ago. Not bad for a view from the front porch, though.

No beach today but an outlet shopping day is always part of the plan with this group (Lidia's cousins). Rain has cooperated with the schedule.

Morning
Usual morning, drop me darling wife off at work and then go to the basement and get to work on the guitars. Our high today, maybe 81, good chance of tunderboomers. Maybe I should get that back lawn mowed while it's still dry.

Watching Le Tour as I have done every morning for the last 2 weeks. If Nibili survives the Tourmalet and Hautacam today he's got it in the bag. Patsy gig in Long Prairie tonight. Thanks for the help on the LoPrinzi Marty!

I am up and feeling fine. Well, feeling ok except for the places I hurt. Actually, just feeling ok but I am up so life is still good, mostly.
Enjoy what you can.

Morning has broken. Blustery with maybe a few more showers before summer returns.

Maybe I should get that back lawn mowed while it's still dry. No, no, no, Marty. The threat of a thunderstorm is the perfect excuse to not mow the lawn. Spun the right way, you can let your grass grow for a month or more... it's a short jump from there to "Man, my old mower will never get through that crap... damn you, Mother Nature," and you've spent the whole summer blissfully lawn care free.

Good morning. Steady parade of visitors continues today. Just finished up a wonderful visit from Debbie's sisters. Getting the camper ready for our August adventure to the northwest.

Good morning from the 49th state. We've been enjoying the Alaska temperatures. Anchorage is unremarkable, but this morning we'll hit the road and see the parts we came for. One thing we discovered is that Verizon doesn't provide cell phone service in Alaska yet. I googled and found that service may begin this fall. Our Verizon cell phones have been useless. If that's the worst problem we have, we'll be in great shape. Have a good day!

Pretty summer day here -- rain on the way so I just mowed the front lawn -- the curb appeal side. Hellish week at work, gonna be hellisher tomoro night when they toss me into a job I've never been trained to do, all because the usual dude done took a buyout and left.
