Fantastic.
But where are the frets? Marty can help you with the frets, you know.

That's a fantastic piece of working art that I can't even begin to imagine doing. Very very cool, Gene. And the photos, too.

Gene is just amazing on so many levels. I realize that's true of a lot of people on this forum (you probably don't know who you are) but I thought it should be said about Gene. I mean he's a software developer, author, musician, recording engineer, videographer, photographer, and now violin maker.
Wow!

Thank you all for your kind words and support ! It has been a fascinating journey. My schooling; consisting of 3 years, will end in December, where I will continue building and learning from my home. Hopefully I can sell a few. At least that is what my wife is hoping John, that is interesting about the white background. Here is a example that you would understand. Let's say I take the photo of my instrument and remove the background, only leaving the instrument. So now I have only the instrument layer with no background layer. I export the image to a jpg file. Bingo ! Photoshop turns the transparent background to white. JPG exports do not preserve transparencies. Should the suit go against Adobe ? Very interesting indeed. I will continue to update my Facebook pages for those who would like to continue to follow. Thank you again !

I have a friend, Kyle Carpenter, who went this direction with his Etsy page. www.etsy.com/shop/KyleCarpenter/sold?ref=shopinfo_sales_leftnav I didn't think I'd like it -- thought it might look to sterile. But just as with your images, the focal point simply pops and you see little else. I really (as it turns out) like it. I'm even tempted to try it at some point. It sure would save me on $75 graduated backdrop paper that ends up scratched beyond usable within a few short months.

I'm sorry to hear that, Gene, as are a bunch of others, I'm sure. Keep up that amazing work, though.

Not coming to iJam??? Oh,no! I've been getting all stoked to see the fiddles and hear the great sound reinforcement. Really. Just another little disappointment in life. Sigh.
