Today should be my last day in the hospital. can't wait to get out of this freaking place. Got four doses out of a possible nine so far. My BP is under 90 so I have been on pressors all night. Creatine peaked at 5.6. Can't eat anything

Hang in there, Dick. It's tough but so are you. We all are pulling for you.
Supposed to go blueberry picking today but there's unexpected, by me anyway, rain over on the bay that may put a damper on that, so to speak. Looks like a wet weekend coming. We have some company coming next week so I've been doing some touch-up painting of the house trim but I can't do that in the rain either. I may get in some guitar practice if it rains. I should get a set together for the open mic Wednesday.
I keep a spreadsheet of our total cash and investments the first of each month, which I just did for August. Yesterday did not help that number. I hope this doesn't continue but there was a correction due for a long time now. I finally got back slightly above what I had when I retired in 2007 and I don't want to see that nose dive like it did then. We had to hit some savings last year for medical insurance but otherwise, we're back on plan unless there's another crash. 3 more months 'til Mary goes on Medicare and I can adjust the plan according to what that costs. It should be somewhat less than we're paying now and the Obamacare plan I got Mary still isn't paying anything but a couple of lab bills. Doctors and meds seem to all be out-of-pocket. Mary's currently stable and I just hope she can stay that way until November. Some things I didn't understand about retirement, mostly medical, so that part of the plan wasn't quite right. For those of you nearing retirement all I can say is you need more money than you think so save as much as you can while you're working. My actual cost of living is up about 33% over the past 7 years. Granted part of that is self-inflicted for having bought too much house so avoid that if you can.

Jeez, I thought I was up too early, there are west-coasters here already.
Off to Dublin, OH for the weekend, for the Irish Festival there. Should be better weather there than here.
Hang in there Dick.

Prayers, Dick! Sounds like a torture chamber...don't tell 'em anything.
We're headed to the French Quarter to price a few jobs then have a Friday lunch at one of several places there. Yum.

I like August so far. I just had to wait at the gas station while they lowered the price to $3.34-9.

Morning (yawn)
I had a sleepless night and would still be in bed but I'm meeting a customer at 7:30 this morning as he passes through town.

Good morning on this most august occasion.
Summer is slipping by and not much to show, in home repairs or recreation.
Have a fine Friday one and all.

Good morning. Dick, I hope you get out soon. We got back from Alaska last night. I'd actually thought it would be tonight, given my vague sense of chronology, so no one's expecting me at work. I'll take the day off. Have a good day.

Best wishes, Dick. Hopefully getting home will help a bit.
Making final prep for our adventure that begins Sunday. CO->UT->WY->ID->WA->OR->WA->BC->AB->MT->WY->CO with the WA/OR part being shared with Richard, our youngest whose leave from Ft. Lewis begins Aug 8.

Morning all. I've been really down for the last month or so, so that's the reason I've been away so long. Not really feeling that good so a short note. They have me back on the pills that make me so sick. The good news is that they make me so sick and they may take me off of them in a couple of weeks or so. I'll check in when I feel a little better.
