I lived on Wellington at Lincoln Ave. One way I used to use a lot is this one ==> tinyurl.com/lyf2zjuOr you could go out North Ave. ==> tinyurl.com/qh87uppOr take I-90 NW to I-294 and drop back down to I-88. That northern route is an hour longer, but it takes you through a scenic chunk of NW Illinois. The rest is all cornfields.

Thanks for the tips. Those URLs just take me to the same generic map but I was looking at the 90/294/88 route and don't get why Google doesn't suggest it. My son commutes to Park Ridge using surface streets since 90 out to O'Hare can be a mess. Yesterday when I arrived around five I zipped up the Dan Ryan from the Skyway to North Ave with no slowdowns
