This union member is heading off to work shortly. They tried to make me work a full shift with a third of it OT, but I exerted my seniority and am working a 5 1/3-hour shift instead. That should get me home around 8:30, which is a good thing, as I need to be back at my desk 12 hours later.
Gorgeous day here -- those at the fair for its last day lucked out!

Having a nice normal day today; after yesterday's ER adventure. I already scooted on out to the Fox Valley Folk Festival and did 3 songs on one of the side stages with a local songwriter group I'm involved with. Small audience with the rain just breaking up a half hour before we went on. Should turn out to be a lovely day later. But my performance went well. I saw one local Chicago music guy in the audience that I'd like to impress and get tighter with. And the tunes I did went as well as I could expect. So that's good. After my catheter adventure of the previous morning, I didn't stick around to drink and eat anything. So, I just came home.
The tunes I did will be my main I-Jam stage tunes. So I got a shot at them in performance. I'll play them again at a cool open mic tomorrow evening. So they will have some battle test on them before Iowa.

Well, today was the 75th anniversary of Germany's invasion of Poland. We teased the crud out of our German officer because of that.
Warsaw? Class A city. The place is just gorgeous, and the people are fantastically patient with our non-Polish speaking hooliganism. Lovely is the word that comes to mind.
