I just got off the phone with my granddaughter, Nora, who informed me that I am now a great grandfather. WOW! Whoda thunk?

Oh, in my excitement I forgot... her name is Loretta Siddy. Siddy is Nora's paternal grandmother's name.
Woo hoo!

Congrats Dub!!!
Perhaps great-grandkids are even more fun than grandkids (although I find that hard to imagine).

Wow. That is awesome. And I never would have suspected. You're pretty spry for an old coot.

Thank you all. Now I have to figure out how to be a great grandfather. I had no examples growing up. I had a great grandmother until I was five or so but she had broken her hip, probably before I was born, and was confined to her bed until her death at age 96. Grandfathers both died about the time of my birth and their fathers had been long dead.
I'm thinking a trip to Chicago may be in the works.

From watching both my Grandfather and father as ggrandfathers they act pretty much like grandfathers with an extra g. (and an extra dose of 'get offa my lawn')
Congrats Dub!!!!

It didn't take a new little one for me to know you were great, but congratulations! My oldest grandchild is almost 23, so I may become a great g-pa someday.
