That Youtube isn't coming up for me, Lar, but the fact that you offered another tune for the set makes me rethink my original idea of singing Jackson over and over, and I appreciate that. While the idea of doing Jackson over and over might not have been thought out very well, I'm wondering if a slight twist might turn it into a thing of brilliance. Since we can start at the Shooting Star, start out the set exchanging Jackson with the referent Shooting Star. Next, change Jackson to Seven Clans, then Northern lights, then Mystic Lake, etc, until all 15 casinos in the state have been covered. Casinos compete and I can't help but imagine the other casinos watching Shooting Star, the rest will want us, and there's 15 gigs right there. Maybe I'm thinking too big, and if you think so, Paul, please set me back on the ground with your indelible ability of seeing common sense. Todd used the word "referent", and correctly. Who are you and what have you done with the Village Idiot?

Todd,
Sorry the linkdoesnt work. It's a song called "I Don't Look Good Naked Anymore". My country band has suggested I learn it. I don't know why. They've never seen me naked nor will they ever. It must have been a lucky guess.

Strange they should suggest that, Lar, I don't understand that either. Here Paul and I and fighting over who gets to be the coquette, and you have to deal with insults like that.

This is WAY more appropriate. I like Millring's suggestion as it settles the issue of who gets to wear the dress... we both do. I understand your needs, and, well, if you would just choose undergarments with a little better coverage, we could get away with accommodating them without worrying about getting arrested again. As for me, well, this is about you, so we don't need to discuss me. But, I get your point about learning just one song, but, learning it well. I mentioned your idea about just doing "Jackson" over and over to Elwood Maki during the Hobo's Monday Night RoundTable, and he suggested that if we just switch "Jackson" out with "Hatton" and "Klaxton" and "Mattson", right there we got four different songs for the price of one. After that, Elwood said we could just start over and repeat them as most people won't remember what we started with. Or we could come up with some more names. If we have to. But, I also really like your idea of working in the name of the particular casino we happen to singing in. These outfits are competitive, and I can see this thing snowballing in a good way for us. I will be back in the Hobo Haus tomorrow, and I will do a little more brainstorming with the fellows, but, I think we have some real good stuff cooking up here. I am pumped!

I think you guys should call yourselves "The Rubeneques", and demand Ruben sandwhiches delivered to your dressing room.

I like the idea of the "The Rubenesques" quite a bit. Paul, I can read between the lines and tell that you' d like to try your hand at the girl part, and honestly that doesn't bother me at all if you would like to do so. Along that vein, while I realize the Hanes Sisters idea might work, I'm concerned about the choreography. Could we pull that off? All of that being said, I don't think we should make any decisions until you've had a chance to bounce things off the boys up there.

I've seen Paul bounce things off those boys before. Some of them bounce pretty good.
