Well, tonight's the night. I must say that even though my favorites were bumped by these bums (KC really should have taken the division over the Tigers. Heck, with that shitty bullpen Detroit shouldn't have made it at all) it looks like a great match up and a lot of fun.
In honor of the Tigers debacle I'm rooting for KC.
Anyone else?

Gotta root for KC. As a child in the 1920's my mother lived in the same neighborhood as Casey Stengel who played for the KC Athletics in those days

I have friends here who are rabid, SF fans - I'm going to silently root for KC. (but I probably wont watch a game).

KC because some of you care about KC. I've at least been to KC and had a better time than SF.

KC I reckon, based on proximity. Had the Cards beaten SF, I'd be both rooting for the Cards and keeping quiet in the neighborhood.
As dumb as it sounds, KC still feels like an expansion team to me. Heh.

Bout time KC got back there.
No team in the modern era* has gone undefeated in the post season. That would be amazing.
* Since the wild-card was established, that is.
PS: I really like the way the Royals are playing. Its pure post-steroid-era baseball.

I might have to watch a game. . . . , I thought baseball was over in June.

I was going to root for KC but there's an unnamed fella in Omaha that I hate to agree with...
What the hell, KC.

KC. This young team started to show potential a couple years ago, made a run that fell short last year, and this year...all the way, baby!
If KC does it, they will have done it against probably the best ball club in baseball. San Fran has been pretty darn good these last four/five years. San Fran and the Cards have had quite a decade. Of course, they play in the National League, so, what's that take?

Given a choice between Scott Mckenzie and Wilbur Harrison, I gotta go with KC.

No. Contrary to what I'd been hearing, they are apparently not up to date.

And pitchers that throw over 92. And what the heck, chicks dig the long ball.

Oops.
What a shame. KC's 29 year post-season undefeated streak comes to an end.

Oops. What a shame. KC's 29 year post-season undefeated streak comes to an end. Baumgarner was tough. Let's hope they come back tonight. Looking forward to seeing this Ventura kid.

The Royals looked nervous. When they were down 3-0, they got runners at second and third with no outs and their hitters just looked skittish as hell. Chasing every pitch, etc. No patience.
Any ball hit in the air at that point would have totally changed the complexion of the game.
But nope.
