That pretty much sums it up. Not much more to say on the matter.

Doubtful. KC is home and Baumgarner is done. This is far from settled.

I'm not holding my breath, especially after seeing Peavy in game 2. Though maybe with an early lead the Giants might be able to squeak it out thanks to the relief/closing team.
Much more likely we see a game 7, in which case I foresee MadBum back on the mound on short rest.

I think SF is working their "rope-a-dope" strategy.

I know I'm not much of a baseball fan, but doesn't San Francisco have to win this game in order for the series to end?

Just turned the game on. KC up by 9 (count 'em, 9) ruins in the 5th. My, my, my...

I think SF is working their "rope-a-dope" strategy. We do call it "Giants Torture" but I think this is just a blowout.

I'm still confused. Is the series over yet? Can it end in a tie?

I think they should enforce the mercy rule tonight.

No. There's a rule that if game 6 ends 0-10 the teams have to start over and do the whole series again--without any pants.

Perhaps it's the memory of 2012 and what the Giants did to the Tigers but last night was just sweetness! Apart from that, this is really fun baseball. The threat of Bumgarner tonight just makes it more dramatic. The Royals touched one untouchable pitcher (Petit) last night, why not another tonight? Go Royals! It has been a great series.

Boyohboy that was fun! I got off work at 1930 central time and the game was underway. I listened to it from the top of the 2nd on, and by the end of the 2nd it was 7-0. Called up a doctor that I know that was still at work doing his billing and gave him the news, he's usually a Red Sox fan but came in with a Royals hat on last week. When I told him it was seven-zip he paused and asked who was up. When he heard it was the Royals he let out a little whoop and said he was going to finish up the billing ASAP so he could watch.
Tonight? Well, that's anyone's guess. I'm hoping Royals, but I guess we'll see, won't we?
