I know it's early, but it is after midnight here. Made it to Duluth safe and sound, deposited the 11 pound turkey in the downstairs fridge. Patti's vegan daughter is video tapping a program about some naturalist who is bonding with turkeys, and not in the "oh, you're gonna be a tray treat tomorrow" sort of way. Now he's hugging them and learning their language. It's gonna be a surreal day.

I'z here. Have fun Lonnie. Tell them they can eat the skin, it's just the packaging it's not meat. I'm thankful we are all here. I'm thankful my family, scattered though they are, is safe. And I'm very thankful that it's not as cold here as there where ever there is.

Just the two of us for Thanksgiving but there will be Turkey etc. and apple pie assuming Mary gets up this morning. The rain has gone away but it made grocery shopping interesting yesterday. Think I'll stay in today.

Indeed, have a happy and safe Thanksgiving, everyone. Since it isn't really a holiday where I'm at (where it is 72 and sunny as I write this) I had some Hillshire Farms sliced honey roasted turkey in a sandwich at lunch. Maybe Sharon and I will go out to eat tonight. It'll be the first Thanksgiving I haven't spent with my son in quite a few years.

Good morning and happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Our younger daughter arrived about 1:30 and now all three kids are here. In-laws will come later. It should reach about 80 today and no one will complain.

G'mornin' - I'm thankful for many things, but this year mostly for one more year with my old man. I finished the apple pie and cranberries for dinner this afternoon, neighbors are bringing turkey, stuffing, chocolate pie and potatoes. Looking forward to stuffing myself

Happy Thanksgiving to all. And to all I say, "Gobble, gobble, gobble." In every sense of the word.

Good Thanksgiving Morning Good People
Chilly with light snow. It has been a traditional division of labor as Dawn makes salads and rolls and I have gone to great lengths to keep a minivan operational for the journey to Skokie, IL. A nephew and niece-in-law are hosting, brother and SIL coming from the north woods, Mom and sister and a cheesehead nephew or two coming down from Wisconsin. Old dog* is guarding the house, son and DIL tending the old dog and feasting with her side of the family.
Have a terrific Thanksgiving one and all(including our Canuckistani comrades who should take the day off and feast...)
*ever since we told Lola that Cinder is an old dog, she has taken great delight in calling me an old dog

Happy Thanksgiving y'all. It's just Thursday here. But it will be a nice Thursday if I have anything to say about it. I'm just thankful I'm still here. And that's plenty. Wait ... I'm thankful for a lot of things. Tons, really.

Cooking the heart and liver to make stock and chop up in the stuffing. Turkey goes in about an hour from now aiming for 2 pm dinner. Made sweet potato casserole and corn pudding yesterday. Thankful we didn't drive 450 mi to Utica.

Happy Alice's Restaurant anti massacre day. Katie came home yesterday and I'm not sure who was happier, her mom and me or the the dachshunds who carried on and made a big fuss over her return. Everyone stay safe.

My nephew, Sam Bauman, doing the Thanksgiving day on air interview with "J. Peterman". By way of explanation: The lousy beard (Sam's) is some sort of #noshave TODAY charity challenge.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Lonnie, it sounds like your day is indeed going to be a winner.
This is our "off year" Thanksgiving, which means just immediate family and our two remaining parents. Adds up to 15 counting the grandkids.
Big bird is in the oven (I talked to him first. He says he was "honored".) There are pies everywhere. Potatoes are not doing much in the way of peeling themselves.
Cheers!
