The guitar needs a sticker that says, "This Machine Kills Cubists."

I've always been from the, " If it ain't broke..." school of thought. But since we don't live in the Califate, or N. Korea, if you like it, go for it.

So, what kind of paint did he use? Acrylic spray enamel?

Oh yeah. And put a Brazilian rosewood pick guard on a carbon fiber guitar. How funny would that be? Fixed it for ya.

That's the one I was thinking of. Yup! He puts things up for sale every once in a while on the Unofficial Martin Guitar Forum. I seem to remember some of them being pretty cool -- like something a guy could do (or have done) to a nice factory Yamaha, Guild, or Takamine or something.

I Like IT,,,whats it sound like? it needs to jangle when it's strummed If it's like any other Dunn, it sounds very fine. Michael is a bit of a madman when it comes to guitar design--I wish I'd tried to buy this one when it came up for sale a few years back: www.myjazzhome.com/Dunn2.shtmlWhen I mentioned seeing the for-sale notice to Michael, he said that if he'd known about it, he would have bought it himself. Then there's what I think is his most extreme design, the Bugatti guitar: www.bugattipage.com/guitar.htmIn any case, he seems to somehow bring off his sculptural ideas without compromising the music-making side of things, though the challenges for that cubist guitar, with all the different woods, must have been considerable.

No offense meant, but I don't like it.
Painted guitars look like cheap toys to me, even if the "canvas" is a fine guitar and the painting is done well (like this one) I just see one and my first thought is "ew!"
I do like the design, just not on a git.
