I think epaul has a golden opportunity here to create a TV series.
The Maki Boys on SyFy or AMC....kind of a Fargo / Andy Griffith / X-Files show.
Huh?!?

That would be hoping against nakedness.

It always depends on whose nakedness we are talking about. The Norwegian ladies beach volleyball team, oh yeah. Norwegian farmers, I'm thinking that's one of those scenes best erased from memory.

This is a timely thread. I have, periodically, pitched the idea of a Maki Boys special to our local PBS affiliate, but was turned down due to technical issues. But, this fall, the marketing gurus figured there were finally enough extra wide-screen TVs within Prairie Public's broadcast market that they were willing to look into producing a Maki Boys special to be aired sometime this summer. (test shoots had indicated that a TV screen should be, at minimum, 60" or above to effectively present the Maki Boys in inaction).
This Monday, a a test shoot is scheduled to take place in Valley City, ND. Fingers crossed. The Maki Boys are celebrating their good fortune.

This isn't good.
The Maki Boys didn't show for the Valley City shoot. No one knows where they are. They are reports that two very heavy individuals in bibs and Sorrels entered Sherlock's Brew Pub in West Fargo yesterday around noon. But there are are no reports of these individuals leaving the brewpub or being seen anywhere since they entered it.
And now, this morning, there are reports that when the staff of Sherlock's arrived at the pub this morning to open up, not only was all the brewing equipment missing, including the 60 gallon stainless steel vat and 143 growlers, the pub's brewmaster was missing as well. Authorities are looking for 2 or 3 persons of interest who were seen weaving away from Sherlock's at approximately 4:00 AM in a heavily loaded, brown and white Ford F-150 pickup, mid-80s model with heavy rusting.
Cindy Kallic, a waitress at Sherlock's described the two as very, very large men who were enjoying the beer menu hugely and completely, "The way they were pouring down the beer, I thought they would drain us out completely. They completely exhausted our supply of "Watson's Choice Ale" and "Baskerville's Red Eye Lager". They were very, very happy and full of questions about our brewery, and Jack, our brewmaster. Then, shortly before closing, they just disappeared. I didn't see them leave, it's like they just disappeared. And for two such large men to, like, just disappear... it's a little spooky."
This isn't good at all.

What is a Maki boy? Do they make sound equipment?

They make sounds. Loud sounds. Particularly after polishing off several dozen pickled eggs
