The HMD Beagle sails again!!
The grand niece, mind you. Millring, eat your heart out!
Meanwhile, on grimmer front, it has been advised that Her Majesty has decided she needs to dispense with her herd of Corgis, as they represent a tripping hazard to the old dowager.
So it's out with the old and in with the new.
Blimey!

Good morning or at least I hope it will be once this back pain subsides. This recurring pain at 3am is getting tiresome. I still think it's muscular and not related to the surgery but I don't know. A couple of Advil takes care of it after awhile.
Feeling useless with just a couple of inches of snow on the ground and I can't even shovel off the walkway. There's no melting in sight until at least the weekend. I did carry some bird seed over to the feeder by the quilt studio yesterday because a bunch of birds were on the back porch bitching about it. I'll do the same this morning once I can move. I know my body is just trying to heal but about all it wants to do is sleep.

Feel better Bruce. We're all rootin' for ya.
Beware all ice and low lying Corgis.

It is so cold out there. I'm surprised only a few schools delayed, and only a few canceled.

Morning -7F, might get into the single digits above. Finish the old Kay archtop pickup install. Cutting a hole in the top weakens it considerably so the area has to be re-braced to allow the stress to be routed around the hole.

I guess you never saw the movie "Honey, I Shrunk the Luthier."

G'mornin' - finally returning to normal weather, overcast with possible showers, the sunshine was starting to get monotonous.
Beautiful job Marty

Nothing so fancy. I have a routing template for the pickup hole that screws down to the top using the same holes as the pickup ring. I rout the hole just through the top itself. Then I cut the braces and install the new ones. One more routing to cut the depth needed for the pickup, but since the new braces are much deeper than the old ones this is not a problem.

Sheesh. LJ's posts in the daily are starting to sound like a journal from the Donner party. I feel for the guy.
Meanwhile here in Montana it's blue sky, sunny, and temps in the 40's and 50's which is bizarre for this time of year. While it seems great now we'll probably be wildfire central come August.

Not one place in MN is above zero right now, and this is a state that's 500 miles tall. But it's a dry cold.
