Beautiful day, out with the dog for an hour+, but took a few breaks. The tulips are up a bit, and I cleaned up some litter from other things--once they get bigger it's a pain to work around them. Supposed to rain tomorrow so will do some indoor stuff.

Managed to get the car out to the post office and back yesterday and the roads are better than I expected so picking Mary up tomorrow shouldn't be a problem.
Got tired of fighting with the classical guitar and took out the Martin so I could sing some songs yesterday. Might try to make the open mic Wednesday although I shouldn't. Mostly I feel OK. This no lifting, pushing or pulling is to avoid getting a hernia which is probably a good idea but I'm getting tired of the restrictions.
Last day of February and Spring starts in March. Come on Spring.

Good Morning Good People
Sunny and not quite so cold -- predicted high in the 20s. Missed a day of work due to a fever so there is some office work this morning (somehow paid sick leave doesn't make the work go away). The local Woodcraft franchise is having a sale so the high point of the day will be buying a much-needed dust collector for my workshop.
Have an excellent end of February one and all.

Iceinwaco should be a word. Still cold here, for sure. But a week from today they are calling for 50 and the bike will be ready so its all good.

It is -6 out there right now, but that is up from -11 earlier this morning. I hope spring is somewhere out there on the horizon and gets into town soon.
Enjoy.

Morning
Best wishes for you and your family Todd.
Shop til 2:00 then maybe a late lunch with Bill at a little Mexican place near home.
My back seat was full of guitars when I left the Podium yesterday. Being there, even just one day a week, has made a big difference in my income lately.

Iceinwaco should be a word. Still cold here, for sure. But a week from today they are calling for 50 and the bike will be ready so its all good. Or a Band ! Cold schmold I went to an open mic in Barrington last night. Cool place. Very unusual for upper-crusty Barrington. Grassroots. It's a throwback to hippy days. Lots of shirts and jackets and chotski. (spelling?) And they sell beer and wine. And have a sound system and run music performances. The open mic is every Friday night. Some friends told me about the place. So I went. Cool place. Nice talented crowd of players. I did an early set and a late set. Ran through 7 of my tunes. That'll be a nice warm-up for my gig in Chicago tonight. I ran into a contractor friend I hadn't seen in years. We chatted. He lives in Barrington. He'd heard about the place and was checking it out. He heard they don't have a liquor license. That there's some old grandfathered rule on the books that a barber can serve liquor to his customers. So, there's a barber chair in the corner. And reportedly somebody gets a haircut from time to time. I don't know if any of that is true. But it feeds into the aura of the place.

-9, but warming up next week. We've got a house full of family and a funeral this afternoon. I hope you're not drawing lots for who gets to be deceased. . . . , Just kidding, Todd. Funerals are sad and happy events. There's obvious sadness about the loss. But also celebration. And for some odd reason (or maybe the right reason) it's the only time we drop everything and come together to celebrate family.
