Back from breakfast. Friends ask us to come this morning so even though we haven't been doing Sun breakfast at Golden Corral for more than a year now as we moved our shopping day to Monday. Most open carry people I've seen at one time. Five in the hour we were there. Because nothing says Easter Sunday like packing heat. Mike Four of them were normal* but one guy had a gunfighter rig with a single action Colt. I did think that is a little strange for today's world. But he did look the part. Whip thin, 6ft 2 or 3, 70s pornstar mustache, boots, and Stetson. I guess if you are going with a gunfigher rig you should look the part. If I still carried a heavy gun I'd most likely go for open carry as it's more comfortable than concealed with a heavy gun. *normal = modern belt rig with some type of semiauto.

Back from Eau Claire -- Dad, who turns 96 in less than a month, was mentally all goofed up, but at least he knew who I was, and who my sister and her son were, and he sat there and ate and ate and ate and ate for almost two hours. Shrimp cocktail, deviled eggs, crackers, olives, pickles, then on to the main course of roast beast, asparagus, salad, potatoes, Hollandaise, bread, then rhubarb/strawberry tart, ice cream, cookies.
And he is STILL skinny as a rail!

At one point, I think he mistook the gravy boat holding the Hollandaise for mashed potatoes, and poured a big cooled glop of sauce on his plate and proceeded to scarf it down with a fork.
