This is Swan Jam year. The usual Bat Cave, the usual Bat Channel. July 31, August 1, 2, 3, .. Accommodations at Swan Jam House for the first takers .... garden for tents, one bed in the studio building. Swan Jammers so far - Dub & Joy, Lars & Katherine, Marshall, Kari, various neighbours and Owen Sounders. It is always fun. Lots of songs, music, food, fun, frolic. An Expotition to the North Pole available if enough Swan Jammers want to explore the Bruce. Consider coming? We will be delighted.

You HAVE to be in Marshall. It's a command performance. SJ is not SJ without you.

But in the meantime, What is this "usual Bat Channel"? It's "same bat time, same bat channel". No "usual" involved. Unless there was a Canadian Batman.

I'd love to be there but there are two problems. It's a long long way to Tipperary. I don't think Cananada loves me. Y'all have fun and a rousting version of Itty Bitty Tittie and you can just pretend that I'm there.

Both Chris and I are laughing so hard tears are running down my face. I'm stealing that for the new intro. "Now I'm gonna do a little song the Canadians call 'Diminutive Bosom'."

I recommend SwanJam to all SoundHooligans -- with the gracious hospitality of Kate and Lars, the stunning beauty of the Bruce Peninsula, and music and poetry coming from all directions.
Alas, this falls on the same weekend my extended family will be gathering at a cottage in northern Michigan. I will be at the same latitude as Owen Sound, so I shall simply face east and toast the SwanJammers with a Michigan microbrew.

awww Tamarack. I had a tent spot all picked out for you! We had to narrow it down to the first weekend in August because July was a wreck for everyone, Lars has a gig the next weekend and the third weekend is our local folk festival. Any time later than that runs awfully too close to IJ. *sigh* You will be missed.

Now that it looks like iJam is out, Swan Jam may be more possible. As long as it doesn't conflict with my wife's knee replacement ...

Dick, it would be great if you could come. I just sent a group email to the rest of the gang just to confirm - it's been so long since we've discussed the thing I just wanted to make sure.
