Who knows, where the time goes?
Very nice open mic last night a few towns over. Played solo, not with the Thursday Supper String Band. It was liberating.

Good morning. Colder than yesterday but no wind so it feels better. Rain expected this afternoon but I might get some yard work in this morning.

Good Morning Good People
Cloudy, cool, mid-50s expected.
Off to the office. I have not worked a full five-day week since late March, have been under the weather and not putting in any after-hours time (which is completely normal in the environmental biz), so naturally I'm behind and will be working much of the weekend. Some home repairs later on will be a respite from paid work (I would prefer other respites...)
Have a sensational Saturday one and all.

The appliance mart called me yesterday to tell me my new stove and fridge would be delivered today between 8:30 and 11:30 a.m.
So of course I get a call at 6:50 today saying they will be here within a half-hour.
Time and math are hard, apparently. Grrrrrrrrrr. This after Marty made me go carousing last night.

G'mornin' - not sure what I'm doing today except spending an hour or so helping one of my sisters go through stuff in dad's office and doing some filing of my own. Chores first.

Get that new refrigerator stocked with some good beer, Bill.
Raining here. Supposed to keep it up all day. Oh well. Enjoy the day.

Twas a good time with good food and drink, and when Lonnie showed up we all left. Saturday shop but I may close up early and go help out at the Podium as they are short handed today.

I'll be traveling to Indy this afternoon. My niece is getting married and it should be a big family bash with dancing and fun.

That is an excellent idea, LJ -- perhaps a growler from one of the 42 skillion breweries we now have here. The two young men, apparently fresh from bathing in Axe Body Spray, snatched my old 'pliances and had the new ones in place in a jiffy. The chubby one treated us to a stunning display of butt crack while leveling the fridge. The new machinery is operating quietly, restocked with food and blindingly white, making the vinyl floor look grungier than ever. Looks like some floor scrubbing is in order-- it's time, as I do that in odd-numbered years.

Looks like some floor scrubbing is in order-- it's time, as I do that in the first quarter of odd-numbered years. Look how much worked I saved you. Good morning. We are on the cusp between a lot of snow and a lot of rain starting tomorrow.

Young people, and yes, I know starting the sentence that way makes me sound old, seem to believe the ads about the body sprays and feel girls will fall out of the trees as they walk by if they just wear enough. Actually, birds fall out the trees and it is not because they are attracted to the guys.

Years ago, I actually witnessed the teenage son of my then-girlfriend perform his leaving-the-house ritual, wherein he would spray a cloud of Axe and then walk through it, for max coverage, I spose.
The stuff just makes me gag. My house is still reeking of it, even with the furnace blower going and those guys gone half an hour.
