We're doing fine. Survived the storms. While you were out of town, that storm hit Chicago pretty hard. Here are my friend David's pictures of his day at the art fair in Chicago. My friend, Steve, further up the lake on the Lelanau Peninsula (Traverse City) said it was the worst storm he'd seen in 30 years of living up there. Down trees and power lines all over the peninsula.

I heard those rummors John. Kari saw there was golf ball sized hail in Rogers Park. Probably pretty close to your art fair friend. It looked pretty wicked on radar.

Chicago has had all kinds of storms this summer that didn't pass through here first. I find that strange.

Mowed the whole place yesterday so Mary said I could take today off. I promised to play at the open mic Wednesday so I need to get a set together. Maybe I'll do "Don't thing twice".

Checking in here .... Jammers just left. *sigh, cry, almostdie* We had a marvelous weekend. It was easier to say goodbye because we know we will all meet up again in a month at Idiot Jam. Now it's back to regular regular. Lars has a gig tonight. Morgan is making her puppy "talk" and Rachel is gliding around looking beautiful. All is right with the world. Dick, how marvelous that you had such a nice Orange Jam. *hugs*

Had to slip in and say Heyyyyy....., Had quite a week for having not been to Swannanoa. Evidently there was a cloning operation there that produced a number of me and posted photos. Check my FB page for details and photos. It was really quite touching to be missed. Next year.....followed by IdiotJam. Quite the crowd at your place, Dick. I had seen a photo or two from Tim Wampler. So glad that worked. Really appreciated Bill's thoughts on all of us going through these times. Whether on the receiving end or the enduring and watching end. Much peace to you today, Bill. I will go to OKC next weekend to welcome my first grandchild. If Shay's water doesn't break by Wednesday, they will induce. A granddaughter. I will go back to KCMO the weekend after to see if my lung function has improved enough to be reactivated. It was down slightly this week. A new report will come later today.

Between storms looks like there was some good stuff going on! Great photos Dick and Marshall. We escaped the storms here south of the city. Rained pretty hard and we had lots of thunder and lighting but none of the rough stuff that hit the city and northwest burbs. I knew Traverse City, MI got hit because they said the actually closed Sleeping Bear Dunes. We spend a lot of time up there and I don't recall storms like that before. Crazy weather this summer.

It brings back a melancholy memory of when my music partner from Colorado in the 70's (Scott Bennett) had a 'celebration of life' gathering. He had a strange tumor that was some form of lung cancer, which was really weird as he had not a single toke of tobacco or weed. Any who, after I left Colo, he became the go to studio producer for all of his acquaintances in the Denver area, which included many of the folks from the DFLC and a hitch as John McKuen's guitarist. He entered hospice and shortly after announced his celebration of life party via internet, and over 100 folks from all over the country arrived. He played 2 tunes with each of us while tethered to three huge O2 tanks getting oxygen at 10 lpm. He made it through the whole night. Played 3 hours. Then begged off as he was exhausted. Died 2 days later. He was content and peaceful at the end. Hospice was wonderful.
