Greetings from Quebec.
Well, I’m no longer in Quebec.
Greetings from Vermont. Wait, I’m no longer there, either.
Hello from the Great Minnesota Get Together, the State Fair. Oh, I guess I’m done eating my pork chop on a stick and drinking craft beer samplers and am back home.
After three days on the sailboat, we sent the kids home and flew to Burlington, VT, rented what turned out to be a very enjoyable little Nissan Sentra, and drove up to the Saguenay region of Quebec and spent two days at a B&B on the Saguenay fjord (big river cut feeding into the St. Lawrence) where we met up with some friends from France.
Then we drove down to Quebec (city) and spent a couple days at a B&B in the Old Town (much of it intact from the late 1600’s… sort of a 17th century boutique).
Then we drove down to VT and spent a day and 3/4s at Stowe (and vicinity).
Then it was back to Minnesota and a day at the State Fair eating and drinking and looking at fat dahlias and huge pumpkins (the winner weighed 400 lbs., incredible).
Now I am back home resting up for the Brothers’ Golf and Bridge Week, which starts next Wednesday.
I would post pictures of all the incredible and wonderful things I saw on this incredible and wonderful trip, but I was showing my incredible and wonderful new camera off to my brother prior to departing for the airport … and I forgot to repack it.
