Mary and I have sent our saliva to 23andme DNA lab. Mary's came back and her family thought they were German. It came back less then 9% German. Mostly British and Irish. They went back 13,000 years. Mary's family has lived in Germany about 500 years. It lists famous people with her DNA. It's listed so far, 899 cousins, has maps around the world to show where they live and has some contact numbers to get in touch with them. I haven't heard a thing on me yet. She is also 2.4% Neanderthal.

Sis-in-law did it. A bit less Eye-talyun than expected. A bit more Scandanavian than expected. Being Sicilian I was expecting some African but nope.

I am afraid they would tell me I don't exist and then I would just disappear.

I am afraid they would tell me I don't exist and then I would just disappear. Or that you come from a long line of Kentuckian cousins and were 2.8% squirrel.

I had my DNA traced. It turns out to be mine.
Boy, was I relieved. It would have been embarrassing if it was someone else's.

There was that Guatemalan cartel incident but witness protection made that go away.

A cousin on my mother's side found that side of the family went back to the Thracians, a bloodthirsty bunch inhabiting Southeaster Europe in ancient times. They were driven out by an even bloodthirstier outfit, and some of them wound up in the Orkney Islands, apparently the only place that would let them in. The Thracian Thrashers warming up for a badminton tournament.

Mine came back 46% OJ Simpson. Glad that didn't come out sooner.

My first thought was, "But mine's not missing." I see that I was operating under a misapprehension. That's OK, Russell. TSA will help you find your missing DNA. They will look "everywhere".
