Mornin'..... Cold? What is the temp.....85º? Crap.....get the socks out, Doug. Back from KC trip No. 3475,658,392,048,575,684,902.2 At least it seems like that many. Echo and biopsy #3 done. Results will be in later this morning. Obviously looking for a third consecutive week of 0-0 on rejection. Echo has EF back up to the high side of normal at 70%. I'll holler back later with update on results.

Morning
68 and partly cloudy today 54 right now.
I hope this weather holds or gets a little warmer toward the weekend so Capt Donn and I can do a detecting trip to Big Island, Lake Minnetonka. The north side of Big Island is a shallow water sand bar and a place boats gather in large numbers to party every weekend. The water is waist deep and people walk from boat to to boat, drink in hand. Donn and I have both found diamond rings there along with cell phones, coins and general flotsam/jetsam. The water is still warm but it's a two mile boat ride from Gray's Bay to Big Island and at this time of year that can be a very cold ride.

G'mornin' - sunrise this morning is looking as good as sunset last night, lots of reds and oranges, guess we got a storm coming. More digging in the garden and other yard work today.

Funeral this morning. The guy was very active in my chorus and was one of the people who started it back before my time. We will be doing one song. Today's chorus rehearsal was moved to late afternoon. In between, Mr. H and I will try to do our daily 2 mile walk if it's not raining, maybe even if it is. Only supposed to get up to 75F today.

Cutting peghead slots with the greatest commercial jig ever made. The Luthier Tools slothead jig. A little pricy but worth every penny. You drill the tuner holes with it as well. Made like something we'd use in a total knee.

Good really late morning, like sundown. Got nothing done today. Had about an hour's sleep last night because there was just no way to be comfortable. Tried to nap all day but still only got maybe another hour. I'm really tired of these shingles but there's still 4 or 5 weeks to go. I'm swimming in Lidocaine now and hope it's enough to get me to sleep at least for awhile tonight. The weather's improving so maybe if I can get some sleep I can play pick-up-sticks tomorrow. I hate being sick and I have spent way too much of this year in a less than well condition. Lots of people here having it worse than I am but someday I hope I'll feel well again.

And Don, that news is gooder than good. Best actually.

Or Marty could teach you how to restring a slothead without the PITA.

Someday I will return to the Twin Cities. When I do, I'd like to spend a day or two hanging with the Minneapolis "mafia." Terry, a visit to your shop would be a highlight, as well as lunching with Marty, Bill, Lonnie, et al.

Be advised that Terry's home/shop is a couple-hour drive from the Twin Cities.
