So the turmoil in the House right now is because the filibuster exists in the Senate. Got it.
Republicans in the Senate can shit-can the filibuster any time they want on a simple majority vote anytime they want. Then the only thing holding back the Republicans moving the country into a new Conservative Golden Age is a clueless bumbler who doesn't know what he's doing?

That hasn't been available since the Congress that came in with Barry (and God, they were insufferable when it came to complaining that they still couldn't get jack done). The Republican House passes lots of stuff. No problem there. It usually dies in the Senate (particularly when Harry Ried was still Barry's enforcer and protector). The turmoil in the House due to some folks wanting to make Barry veto stuff and shutdown the government. But given the lies that have been sold by the Democratic machine they're worried that they will once again be blamed for a government shutdown that didn't amount to a hill of beans and was really the President's fault. The man is both incompetent and never held to account for anything. It's really an amazing thing to watch.

At least we're back on familiar ground. For a minute there I was afraid that this wasn't going to be Obama's fault.

Depends on your POV, Peter.
First response:
I was hoping by now you'd change your tune and acknowledge that Republicans are responsible for what they've done, but it's been disappointing. I don't know about time running out though. Apparently there is no time limit. As long as you and others keep cheering on people who are supposed to represent us yet do nothing other than try to disrupt the entire process, this stuff will keep happening. And the more it does, the happier you'll be.
Alternate take:
I haven't gotten everything I wanted during Obama's run. Then again, he took an almost impossible situation and made the most of it. I'm pretty happy when you look back at the accomplishments since 2008. Overall, I never hoped that he could change as much as he did. Some of the things I wanted didn't happen. Other things that weren't even on my radar have changed for the better. I think it's very likely that Obama will be the best president of our lifetime.
