Houston..., we've got a problem. I was all psyched to get on this--dug the trainer out, brought the bike, trainer tire on. And while I still think I could pedal okay, the problem is: I can't get on. Talk about a tease! I guess I hadn't considered that part of it. I can't get my bad/right leg up over the seat & top tube, and from the other side I don't want to put all my weight on my bad leg while twisting around to get my good leg over top from that side. Bummer.

Heading to Saratoga Springs today to join old bud Ray Chesna and some of his old traveling friends. We're gonna storm the open mic ar Lena's Cafe tonight, then head to Woodstock for the luthier's convention in the Bearsville Theater for the rest of the weekend. High expectations, for sure.

Hi Everyone,
I've been busy these past months trying to create a "new normal" from a life that got completely broad-sided. Ya never know just how tough you are til tested, that's for sure.
Today is "Grandbaby Eve". Daughter will deliver Grandchild #5 tomorrow morning. Her last day of work was yesterday so I am headed over to have coffee with her and take "big sister Ella" to preschool.
Prayers for a positive delivery for Mom and Babe would be most appreciated.
Have a great day.

Hey Cyndy! Great to have you back!
jdd2-- I agree with Marty, get one of those kitchen step stools. You could also position your trainer under a ceiling joist and rig up a small winch, pulley, and harness.
You would be totally dependent on you wife however to get off.

I hope you find something that works. Cyndy, nice to see you back!

Hey Cyndy! hugs to you girl.
doug, please give a hug of encouragement to Chris. Wow, bummer indeed.
jdd - the mounting block sounds great except for the trying to get off and falling sideways. sigh.
It's Thursday in the new Canada. I am somewhat perkier than I was yesterday, but still dead tired all in all. Remind me to work less.

Mornin'Afternoon.....
Somehow missed the mornin'.....
Tables turned, now playing nursemaid for Barb. I think everything has finally caught up with her. The last 2 months, hundreds of miles of driving, hours of waiting, then back to the crisis mode and the trenches of her job as a social worker. She went to see her Dr. this morning.
Big hug to Cyndy.....great to "see" you!
DAMMIT Bill......there went another cup of coffee. Don't know how much more this monitor can take.
Sure enjoyed not traveling last weekend, but back we go this weekend. Monday will be busy with 4 procedures, including biopsy #5.

You would be totally dependent on your wife however to get off. Most men are! Not apparently Lamar Odom. . . . , I'm just sayin' (I'm reminded of the lyrics from the Dwight Yokum song I'm working on: "You know my friends keeps telling me You're not a kid at 33 Play around you loose you wife Play too long you loose your life." )
