As of today my new solo album, "Cottonwoods" is available on CD Baby. The album contains 12 original and traditional songs. Two of the songs, "I'll Be Missing You Tonight" and "Whatever Happened to My Heart", were co-written by Cyndy. Another of the songs, "G-man", was inspired by one of our fellow SoundHole members. I'll leave it to you to figure out who it is. You can download "Cottonwoods" now on the CD Baby site. It will also be available on these other download sites within a few weeks: Amazon, iTunes, Google Music, and a bunch of others. "Cottonwoods" is priced at $9.99 for the album or $ .99 per individual song download. Buy the album, you'll get 2 songs FREE! I should have the CDs within about two weeks. Good for you Lar.
Ain't it strange how obsolete terminology sticks around. Even in the 60s we were wrong calling a album an album. Record album goes back to 78s when you got a album with sleeves for a bunch of 78 singles. A few generations past that and we still call what we put out an album even if it's downloaded. Do you have a album release party or a CD release party?

Sweet! Would you make more $ if people ordered it directly from you?

Sweet! Would you make more $ if people ordered it directly from you? About a buck. But it would cost you $2 more because of the postage. It's not enough to worry about either way I guess. The only big difference is that if you order the CD from me you get the snazzy (?) graphics that aren't on the download. And if you really want that I can e-mail the graphics to you.

When's the big release party? Yeah ! ! ! ! You know how record labels are. It's almost impossible to get them to spring for anything. Oh wait a minute, I am the record label. As I was saying, it's almost impossible to get a record label to spring for anything. Once sales hit a hundred thousand copies I'll throw a party. Yours will be the first name on the invitation list. How's that for incentive?

I'm glad you got it done, Lar. I've heard some but "buffering buffering buffering" out here in rural Iowa made it more of a pain. I can't wait to hear the real thing!
