Well, it is glorious. I expected outstanding, but it's beyond that.
Fit and finish: Perfect.
Set-up: Ideal, I can dig in on the bass strings and get a wee bit of fret slap when I want it, or dial back just a tad and get totally free vibrating strings.
Looks: Are you kidding me? It's just Shaker elegant -- no bling, the perfect shape and glorious natural woods. The Adirondack top is spectacular.
Comfort: With minimal depth and smallish bouts, it's almost like holding a 3-month-old baby. Only without it barfing on you, of course.
Sound: Saved the best for last. This is my first Adi-topped guitar. It has PUNCH, it has nuance, it has PROJECTION, it has sweet overtones. Its tone is neither fundamental nor modern -- it is just full-spectrum, honest, beautiful wooden wonderment. There are lots of overtones, but not Goodall-gooey (not that there is anything WRONG with that), and perfect sustain for the rootsier stuff that I envision me playing on this guitar.
Cannot wait to pass it around at I-Jam.
Thank you, Terry, for crafting a masterpiece. I am a lucky man.
