If she comes, will she bring the accordion? We had a tragic accordion incident in Milwaukee last week. An accordion player had to park his car in a part of town where the crime rate is pretty high. He was reluctant to leave his car on the street because his accordion was in the back seat. It couldn't be helped, though, so he locked up his car and hoped for the best. He came back a couple of hours later to find that one of the back seat windows had been smashed. Panicked, he opened the door to find, yup you guessed it, two accordions. Could have been worse. At least he did not find any banjos.

That is SO cool! Nice playing, Janice. Many people don't know this about me, even my closest friends. But here's a photo of 6-year-old howard lee taken by my father, in the summer of 1960. Anyone know where I can get a pair of big-boy jeans like those, nowadays? Howard was playing The Milk and Cookies Polka.

Hello Everyone, I'm Larry Bister's friend and I am coming to the jam this summer. I play the concertina. I've noticed a number of accordian jokes on this forum. Hmmm. I am bringing my CONCERTINA! So, please feel free to tell all the accordian jokes you like. Look forward to meeting you all. I thought a Concertina was a bar in Mexico.

Welcome, Jan! I grew up in Eau Claire, where back in the day the local TV station featured Ernie Reck and his Country Playboys on a regular basis, live, with lots of happy dancers in the studio and Ernie holding forth front and center with his squeezebox. Good times, good times.
Look forward to meeting you in Iowa!

Hi Jan, Squeezeboxes on a guitar forum! We do celebrate diversity! One thing for sure: this place can use more women (the guys clean up their beer cans and put the toilet seat down when we show up). So welcome to this crazy place of incredible talent and some pretty nice (most of the time) folks. Perhaps we'll meet before IJam since I'm a Milwaukee gal too. Cyndy

Bring a couple of songs in G so Todd can play with you. Welcome. Actually there's a story behind that.
