I"m in a meeting because I have to learn how to tweet. I'll never use it.

I've been sitting here for an hour, and I can't for the life of me see any reason I'll ever use this.

My only complaint with Twitter is that it encourages thoughtful, multi-faceted, nuanced consideration of complex issues instead of encouraging people to reduce everything to a third grade level.

Todd, This is going to really add to your bag of tricks. You will be able to tweet about bathroom cleanliness and coffee, though I expect you will run up against some word count obstacles.

So say I come up with something really intelligent and clever and short. Hey, hypothetical, okay. So I sign up for a twitter account, type up my pithy thought, and send it out there. Does anybody see it who isn't already following me? I'm not sure I want anybody following me.

Back when I was teaching I would have been teaching that continuing ed class. And now I just have a vague idea of what a tweet is. I remember teaching an internet class to a bunch of my fellow teachers, back when the school had a 28.8 connection and win 3.1 and I was the closest the school had for an IT guy.
tweets, facebook, linkin, etc I'm glad I don't have to keep up. I am going to have to sit down with skype one of these days, but I"m kind of waiting for the lag problem to be solved. On line practice sessions.

I don't get Twitter. There are lots of interesting places online with some actual meaningful dialog. Twitter seems to be more about the mean spirited reply.
They may not be long for this world, either. They have yet to figure out to make much money. They are not growing. One could say the only reason they aren't in worse shape is because of Trump's tweets. I know a number of people who read them every day, just to get a laugh, and to get their hate on. Which is absolutely ridiculous.

I have no idea what the relevance is for education, which is what this meeting was about. They told us how to do it, but never said why.
