It cooled nicely overnight. Report from across town is that Evan and Christine enjoyed a leisurely lakeside walk and then Christine took a run on the woods trail. They'll be back over here at the Bauman Pottery Plantation a bit later.

Another hot and humid one today but a cold front tonight should get us back into the relatively comfortable 80s through the weekend when the relatives are here. There are possible thunderstorms in the weekend forecast but I hope that doesn't keep the kids out of the pool. They'l probably be those common summertime evening pop-up storms.
Got the back porch cleaned up yesterday and to my surprise Mary actually did some interior cleaning and I only got beckoned to do high-up stuff she can't reach. She has a doctor appointment this morning and I'll try to clean the kitchen appliances while she's gone and hope it doesn't kickstart her asthma when she gets back. Any cleaning product that has an odor can kick it off but I think it's psychological so if she doesn't know I did it she won't notice. Best cleaner for Stainless Steel is WD40 unfortunately.
Happy Tuesday. Trump's still President.

Great visit with our esteemed Potter and Dar. And great night in beautiful Winona Lake.
Our B&b has an old Lyon & Healy wall hanger. Style E , Washburn embossed on back of peghead. Perfectly playable, needs strings. All hog.

This is where Evan and Christine stayed last night. Evan took the guitar off the wall, curious to see what it was. It's a Lyon and Healy, and it's not in bad condition.

I was surprised to see sunshine this morning. Although there is a chance of rain in the forecast, I would be mowing today if I were home. But I'll be taking Mr. H to Tucson for his eye injection.
About a half hour ago I looked out the front window and saw a dog. Lots of people walk their dogs on our road. But then I saw another "dog" and then a third one. By then I realized that they were coyotes. All of the real dogs in the neighborhood must have been asleep. They tend to bark when coyotes are around.

Probably going to Menards later, I need some supplies and it's an 11%-rebate week.
But I'm having a hard time really waking up so my motivation level is also at about 11%. . .

Beautiful weather today. I'm getting ready to take the nursing home residents on a van ride. Who knows where we'll decide to go today. Find a nice steep hill. Go down the hill as fast as you can, and have them all yell, "WHEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!" That'll get their blood movin'! A more casual day here, which is appreciated. A few local errands, phone calls, and lots more guitar time. After dropping the other 10 lbs. in the hospital, I started having significant cramping in my left arm. Hand cramps for some time. The last week on Magnesium Oxide 400 mg / day has helped considerably. Playing much more comfortably. Enjoy your Tuesdays.

Another interesting day. I just hope that big thing with the banjo doesn't start playing it.

Probably going to Menards later, I need some supplies and it's an 11%-rebate week. But I'm having a hard time really waking up so my motivation level is also at about 11%. . . I went to Menards. One of my purchases was four sheets of 4'x8' lattice. Apparently a few zip ties was not enough to secure it to the roof rack on my Forester. As soon as I got up to 40mph I heard a pop and watched in my rear view mirror as three of the panels sailed off the top and landed in the road behind me, in front of some cars that I think were giving me extra space due to the sketchiness of my load. Thankfully, none of them hit any of the other cars! I put on my hazard lights and immediately pulled over. I jogged back and dragged them out of the road and then set about resecuring them. I didn't have any rope so I tripled up the cables ties and then crept home at 35mph. Note to self, do a better job securing loads so as to avoid hurting anyone, causing property damage and incurring fines for all of the above. I got lucky, this time. 😮 A couple weeks ago a decorative boulder rolled off a construction trailer locally and killed two people. The driver has been found and charged with vehicular homicide. These flying lattices could've caused someone to swerve and crash. Like I said, this time turned out to be a good lesson and thankfully nothing more.
