I was a pro for about 18 months sometime in the mid 70s. I was semi-pro for so many years in so many different arrangements that I've forgotten about far more songs than I remember. Every once in awhile I'll run into an old list at the bottom of a gig bag or in the back of a file drawer, or recently, in a box in the attic, and I'm reminded of many songs I used to play. I usually remember at least parts of them.
Started out with Beatles, Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, CCR, Dylan... Went the CSN, Cat Stevens, JT, Joni, Byrds, originals... Did a Zepp, Spirit, Stones (even a couple of Alice Cooper tunes) thing... Moved into Gram Parsons, Eagles, Pure Prairie League, Emmylou, originals... Went back to CSN, Dylan, originals... Took a hiatus to start a career and get the first round of kids going... Started up another band that played whatever we wanted to play -- Elvis Costello, Elvis Presley, Bruce, Petty, Richard Thompson, Dylan, ZZ Top, Clapton, Dwight....

Here ya go Tom. ;D I throw in an asside after the second verse "Damn Rabbit" and the same asside after the second chorus. And you have to work on the accent to make the blow up dolls line rhyme.
Baby Ran off with her Vibrator – Frank Dycus
D I’ll admit that it’s my fault A7 G D It was me who brought home them catalogs D It was me who ordered those weird things A7 G D I didn’t think it would affect her brain D All I wanted a little fun A7 G D But I can’t believe what she went and done D It’s a little too hard for me to understand A7 G D Why she didn’t even take her pots and pans
D Baby Ran of with her Vibrator A7 G D If this keeps up I’m gona learn to hate her D I want’ her back but I can’t locate her A7 G D Baby Ran of with her Vibrator
I’ve searched high and I’ve searched low But her mama and her friends say they just don’t know But if she isn’t back in a little while I’m have to buy me one of them blow up dolls If you see here tell her I’m alone And I sure do wish she’d come back home It won’t be hard to you recognize her She’s got a years supply of those energizers
Baby Ran of with her Vibrator If this keeps up I’m gona learn to hater her I want’ her back but I can’t locate her Baby Ran of with her Vibrator

Major... it's valid, as long as you remove the nospam part. Due to setting my spam protection level to high, when you send it, you will get a automatic reply saying something about my mail not letting in unknown addresses due to spam, and it will ask you to click on something if you are a real person sending a real email. Go ahead and do that and I'll get a messege that will add you to my email addresses and let your emails through. Mike

Mike, Any interest in me posting chords/typewriter-tab to the old Spirit song "Nature's Way"? Sure, why not. If I can play on the strat, I'll get extra points for annoying the wife. Mike

Shoot, I got caught up in this Georgia thing and forgot to post. I have a song book with about 50-60 songs in it. Yet, I go on growth spurts and grab new songs and abandon the old (kinda, mostly). Right now, when I sit down to play, the following generally get strummed and sung:
Am I too Blue……….L. Williams Just Water…………..Me Goodnight Irene……Leadbetter Wild Horses………..Rolling. Stones Forever Young……The Bob Out of tears…………Rolling Stones Corrnia, Corrina……Hell if I know Heaven's Door......The Bob
on edit: Heaven's Door and a few more commas
Anyway Cosmic, I Exalt you for a good-ass topic.
