It's single pickup. 175s now are 2 pickup. I have a Herb Ellis reissue which is a 175 single pickup but they called it a ES-165 when they reissued them in '91. Great guitar. Hope you enjoy it and get a lot of "What the hell is thats" from other players. I was playing mine at an open mic a few years ago and the local paper's photographer took more pictures of the guitar than of me but I made the front page of the B section anyway.

That is cool. I always wondered why they put the neck pickup so far from the end of the neck on both the single and double pickup models. That looks like guitars should look like, a well worn tool for making music.
Does not look like the headstock has ever been broken. I think you got a good buy!
