Good morning.
Yesterday's trip to Maryland wiped me out. Actually, the pain isn't as bad this morning as it was last night but I'm taking the day off.
Have a good Tuesday if you can.

Tuesday must be blood day. After coffee with the old farts, it's off to Kaiser for my blood draw to check my INR. And to get my second pneumonia shot. Woo Hoo I'm a pin cushion. Have a great day everyone.

It is just me or is it common the think of the high country being somewhere to the north? In contrast, low country would seem to be one of the other compass points. Is there some long/deep cultural association such that high = north = remoteness?

Yep.....I'm here. Got some tough love stuff to do today with Carrie. Not fun. She's losing car privileges, so I'm going over to the school, bringing her car home and disabling it. Just pulling the hot lead off the battery.....she won't have a clue. She needs a wake-up call.

Bought a couple of tickets to see John Gorka here in May. Extremely small venue, ~200, so should be enjoyable.

Sure sign of spring: The food trucks are back! Not a full complement yet, but a half-dozen are on the street next to Strib Towers today, allowing me to enjoy a fish taco and a carnitas one, from TURBO TACO!!!!! (Ask for them by name ... )

It is just me or is it common the think of the high country being somewhere to the north? In contrast, low country would seem to be one of the other compass points. Is there some long/deep cultural association such that high = north = remoteness? I think so. Here in Minnesota people often holiday "up Nort" on "the North Shore". Only a couple years ago did I learn that "the North shore" is not a reference to being "up Nort", rather, it is to specify that they're not staying on "the South shore" which is the Wisconsin side of Lake Superior. Being a MN kid, I'd never heard of such a thing! So 'sconnies' may actually head "up Nort" to "the South shore". Blew my mind!
