Busy morning.....to the county courthouse to renew registration on the fleet. Plus getting the temporary tag on the RV. Cleaning up the patio and grill. Then a 5:30 rehearsal for Easter Sunday service. I'll be debuting the Timberline HG on a new arrangement of Because He Lives. Will likely be some photos and perhaps a video.
Hope all went well today, Don.

Well, did the deed. After a fabulous tour of the Martin factory,a long discussion with the custom shop, I went to my local dealer, received a final quote which was a couple hundred bucks less than my budget and signed on the dotted line. It'll take 6 months or so to complete, then it will show up at Strings and Things and be mine, all mine. Yeehaw!

Sometimes mortality gets to you. I got a call this morning from one of my closest friends. He was calling to tell me his wife had died at about 4:00 AM. She was in excellent health but had a bad fall late last night. She happened to be out of town so he drove three hours to get there and arrived in time for her death. I could tell he'd been up all night and was in shock. The two of them were as close as intertwined fingers and I don't know how he'll get by. As we age we get more and more of this but sometimes it's hard to take.

I was raised on Martins. Have owned one almost continuously since I was 17. Besides, this one has a spooky mystical connection I'll talk about once I have it in hand.
