Finally almost human after food poisoning incident last week. Here is another guitarist video to look at if you were feeling that your playing was finally getting good enough:
I could be this good, if only I could get my hair to grow like that.

I find that technique interesting, but I find the music very boring, sorry. Just a standard, unrelenting chord progression with a hint of a melody (nothing you could hum after hearing it) and no dynamics to speak of. No emotion, just technique. Could I play it? God, no, could never come close. But you know what, I would not really want to.

I hope it isn't obnoxious to share this but a friend just told me that Tom Rush mentioned me and one of my songs last night at a concert here. Somehow he knew I lived in Phoenix. What makes this particularly enjoyable is that I was a big Tom Rush fan many years back. I’ve always liked Tom Rush I still play Mole Moan - G open I change it differently

For me, "Urge for Going" was a Tom Rush song. It was many years later that I learned Joni Mitchell wrote it. The radio played the Tom Rush version.

I heard his version of Urge for Going first. I also particularly remember No Regrets. That was a good one.

Might help to have the original for comparison. Kind of strange to take an instrumentally simple and repetitive song and turn it into...an instrumental. To me, this song is about the lyrics and the singing.

Morning has broken and so has the Buick. Heading over to Newberg in a bit to take it to Les Schwab and get the bearings checked out. Kelly Blue Book says it's only worth between 400-800 dollars so if it cost more to fix we will donate it and Katie will have to buy a newer car, she is leaning towards a low milage Prious while I think she could get a Hyundai mini suv for about the same price that's new. We will see what happens. Mike My wife has a 2009 Prius with 200K on it and still loves it. We just had our first ever non routine maintenance problem since we've owned it. Worn front right wheel bearing from using studded tires on dry roads. She is threatening to never let it go.

Actually, I like that particular slappy tappy tune. Nicely done and pleasing to my not so discriminating ear.

She wants to try to drive it for another month or three, saving money for a down payment. But, next Sat we are going to the Hyundai dealership to test drive a Kona, their mini suv. For in doing so she will receive a $50.00 gift card. Free money is a good thing. Mike
