Building a temporary wiring harness for my grandson's (semi basket case) 1976, Honda XL175 motorcycle. Gotta get it to the point where we can try to get spark out of it. Challenges!

Yesterday morning at 4 ayem in the morning, if I looked straight up into the pre-dawn sky, I could see stars. But there was a line of clouds all along the southern horizon. I knew the clouds were there in spite of the hour of day because ever few seconds lightning would flash above the clouds and backlight them. This light show went on for over a half hour.

Supposed to get the house power washed starting between 8 and 10 AM. Got a promotional call from AT&T/Direct TV at 6:30 AM, followed by a bogus "Microsoft" call at 7:15. Somebody should tell those call center people in India about U.S. time zones.
Standing by with lots of rags in case we discover leaking windows or doors.

It's shopping day. Better days y'all It is shopping day, so I went to Amazon to try to get a deal on a Progressive EMS surge protector for the Airstream. It is generally available for about $230 dollars. And today Amazon had it listed for $312 dollars. Such a deal! So I bought it from Walmart, with free shipping for $228.99. Idiots! However, Amazon did have a deal on base model iPads, so I picked up a new one. My old iPad is no longer supported, (don't get me started on that) so banking or buying stuff on the road is problematic, and certain websites don't display or let you do stuff, so... A bit humid here today, with spotty showers, probably because I had the truck washed yesterday. Mike

Power washing of the house got done about 11:30 AM. Masking will begin at 5:30 tomorrow morning. The owner of the painting company asked if we would be here then. Well, yeah, but do we have to be awake? Yep, might have to open some doors. I wasn't arguing. We really want to get this job finished.

An extremely difficult day. Tomorrow, off to London again to visit the Transplant team. Larry continues to improve. He is in pretty good shape. This weekend and today he has been deeply supportive as I mourn our lovely Morgan. I will get it together soon. I promise. It was the right thing to do but. ...

It was the right thing to do, Kate. Animals don't conceive of death the way we do. When they aren't comfortable and having difficulty, their instinct is to find a spot, get comfortable and drift away. That's what they want. When we humans experience the pain of deciding on euthanasia, we are helping them with want they want. What was horribly painful for you was giving Morgan, in her eyes, was a very lovely gesture. It was a way of showing her that you loved her until the very end.
