I have absolutely zero interest in cars, but I have lots on interest in stories like this. Thanks so much for posting.

Great find Jeff! Very cool in a gas-guzzling sort of way.
Shoulda called me while you were in Ludington. I would have joined you for a beer and pointed out all of the sites of environmental contamination.

So it does not need leaded gas? Good story Jeff. Great Omaha car.

Don't think we didn't notice your excellent production values. Sneaky the way you just parceled out hints and glimpses, feeding anticipation by making us wait until the very end to see car. I started looking for a "Next" button to click on after each paragraph. (nice job!)

Like Jeff's caddy, a very classy ride. With a V16 I hope you can afford the gas. No way, steers and rides like a Sherman tank, after 20 miles you'll need a kidney transplant. Wonderful car but you'll need a chauffeur.

No way, steers and rides like a Sherman tank, after 20 miles you'll need a kidney transplant. Probably, but as a kid in the ’50s some of us (not me) had such cars. I used to read the novels of Henry Gregor Felson ( Hot Rod, Street Rod, et al.) partly because they were set where I lived and drove. The roads he described were actual places and roads we all drove. I thought a hot-rodded Model A Roadster was just about as cool as a hot rod could get.

[/quote] I was handed one of those books by a neighbor when I turned 16, thinking it would alert me to the evils of irresponsible driving. Poor guy had no idea that at 16 I was already driving like an old lady. I thought the book was cool, though. I wonder where it is now.
