I look forward to another season of previously enjoyed shows such as Mrs. Maisel, The Expanse, Jack Ryan, Bosch, et al. They drop. I settle in. Start it up. And then start wondering if anything new has been posted on one of my myriad YT channels. I look, find another rabbit hole, and.... I'm gone.
I made it thru two Mrs. Maisels, no Jack Ryans, three Mandelorians and, so far, no Expanses.
Now I'm wondering if even The Witcher will alleviate my addiction.
These First World Problems.... I swear... it's tough!

Jack Ryan was great. Mrs Maisel, we’ve only got through two episodes, but it sure is funny. Do you have every streaming service available, Alan? I do love Youtube, but it’s almost all music with me. I don’t get too caught up in all the other stuff out there.

All music for me. Tuba Skinny, Josh Turner, Pamplamoose and Toni and Reina Del Cid, Molly Tuttle.. And down whatever musical rabbit hole grabs my attention.

Faithful Wife had Netflix and Amazon Prime. Baby Dottir has Disney.

Have you seen Billy and Tommy doing a little Working Man Blues? OMFG! How about Foxes and Fossils? I like some of their stuff. For work I have been listening to old jazz Miles, Coltrane, Oscar Peterson, etc

The concert where they were playing in the little tavern was great, especially Suite: Judy Blue Eyes. They’ve just started to put out some new stuff again.

I enjoyed the first season immensely -- mostly on the period mood and music. Somewhere near the end of that season I realized that I'd sorta been had -- that is, it had a laugh track without having a laugh track. He routines weren't really that funny, but they were performed to a "live" audience that was laughing uproariously. It was a laugh track but it was built into the scenery. You never even noticed that you'd been had.

My flavor of addition is Live From Here. I will watch and listen -- absolutely rapt by something I'd never buy as a recording. Watching them make magic is just amazing. I come away every time just in awe that talent could be so far beyond my grasp.

Interesting. I don't watch youtube. I have a couple channels of my own. On one I post church videos. The other I post my videos and videos of friends performing live. I thin link those videos on this forum or in facebook, or in emails to friends. But I don't ever sit and watch shows on youtube. Do you have to pay to see some of those shows? My youtube channel has had 32,000 views over the years. There are 100s of little videos on it. Individual videos get anywhere from 20 to about 800 views. No biggies. I'm supposed to be monetized. But I never have seen a penny. But I'm not in it for the $$$. It's just a nice way to load videos for people.
But I never thought to actually go to youtube and watch programs.

If somebody, like you, posts a great performance, many times I'll record the audio direct to my computer and create an mp3 or wav file and save it in my music directory.

I know that's the case, but I tried it once and after trying to figure out how to make it work, ended up only downloading a virus to my computer. I wish I could do it because I love this recording.

I don't know whether to say "What the hell's wrong with you"? or aspire to be like you. If I were more like you, however, I wouldn't know how to smelt iron, build a flat head rat rod, or how to assemble a P47 in a field using just a crescent wrench and the packing crate.
