Made by Jimmy Moon of Moon Guitars located in Arran, Scotland. That is the Dougie MacLean model. The guy makes some pretty gorgeous instruments.

Good morning, all. Drank a bit too much last night, but no ill effects this morning. Went to bed by 11. Feeling good this morning. Wife’s nephew’s 40th birthday today, so we will have a fine meal with family. Might write some, will play guitar some. Life is very good, and it’s a time to start over.

Wishing you all a great year ahead. I am happy to wave 2019 goodbye. This next one is bound to be better.
I guess everyone in every age thinks that society is reaching a nadir. But Holy Hannah folks - I am fully sick to death of idiots and pugilistic personalities passing for normal. I think I need another Lake Isle of Innisfree.
The Lake Isle of Innisfree BY WILLIAM BUTLER YEATS I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree, And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made; Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honey-bee, And live alone in the bee-loud glade.
And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow, Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings; There midnight’s all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow, And evening full of the linnet’s wings.
I will arise and go now, for always night and day I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore; While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements grey, I hear it in the deep heart’s core.

I was tucked in by 11:30 last night, slept in till almost 9. Scared up some breakfast, drank some coffee and then tackled the driveway. The blowsnower started, yay!
Wishing you all good health and happiness.

In this new year I hope that truth finally prevails. Unless it means I have to be the one to change my mind. Then, the heck with truth. We'll do okay with the other.

Don't bother changing your mind.
Your socks, though are a different matter. . . .

Happy New Year to all! I've been doing laundry and taking down Christmas decorations. Also working on our financial spreadsheet, as I do the first of every month. Considering that we bought a house and haven't sold the old one yet, we're looking pretty good for 2019.
Hadn't been to a New Years Eve party in many years except for one on a cruise and one "noon years eve" lunch. Last night we went to the party thrown by our HOA. Had a nice dinner with some wine and did a white elephant gift exchange. Met more neighbors. Champagne toast was scheduled for 10:00 PM, but happened sooner. We walked back home in just enough time to change into comfortable clothes and pour us each a glass of Lagavulin single malt scotch before watching the ball drop in NYC. Stayed up until past 11:00.

Went to a party at some friends' house this afternoon. A number of us wound up sitting outside, soaking up sunrays. It could have been worse.

"Pfthttt. My kids went to school in snowstorms in their shorts." Wow. Your kids had shorts? We had potato sacks and dragged ourselves to school under a broiling sun, uphill both ways.

Ha. When I was a kid there was no school. We used to meet down by the river and try to learn stuff on our own. We got a lot wrong but we were barefoot, gunnysack wearing, inquisitive minds who wouldn’t take know for an answer.
