It's now about 3:30 pm on my wife's last day of work overseas. Tomorrow morning she catches a plane home.
Hallelujah. And a hell of a ride.

Whoa! Up and at 'em, Peter. Wishing your honey a safe trip home.
Have a good slide into the weekend, folks.
And on that note, how about a little Allman Brothers?

Good morning. Peter, I'm sure you'll be relieved to have her home.
It'll be the usual Friday for me. Enjoy your day.

Good morning.
Hope Cristal has a good flight home, Peter.
Rainy day here. I'll watch for a break in the weather because we need a few groceries.
Happy Friday.

Strong winds this morning. The lake is wicked today and is destroying the shoreline. It is at record levels and waves are 12-15 feet. This is not the best time to own lakeshore property.

This is not the best time to own lakeshore property. So, aren't you glad that you don't?

Record depths makes it sound like the lake is deeper. Which I suppose it is since it's higher. But it's deeper because the top is higher, not because the bottom is lower. Hmm. Weird.

I should have said record levels. It’s early. I chose the wrong word. Anyway you look at it, there is more water in the lake which is causing a lot of damage. Right now 18 ft waves are crashing into Whiting’s Lakefront Park & Whihala Beach.

Anyway you look at it, there is more water in the lake which is causing a lot of damage. Why don't they just send that excess water to Flint?

Warmth on the way here, 60s predicted for Sunday, in fact. I'll take it. Today I am gonna knock off work three hours early and go hit THIS place for lunch and maybe bring home some weekend provisions, too: Bill, I got a big virus protection warning when clicking onto the hypertext - you might want to delete it, or spray it with antivirus disinfectant if you have any.

I too am leaving early. I will likely get some ribs or brisket to marinade for the smoking experiment tomorrow. Maybe take the dogs to the park - dog sitting youngest son's extra energy Vizsla today . A misty, chilly day here.
Y'all have a safe start to your weekend.
